You’ve got to love it….

Not all yarn is created equal.  I am allergic to wool so you won’t find me knitting with high wool content yarns, not without sneezing and generally getting bad tempered which defeats the whole object for me.  So I was chatting with a fellow knitter and she piped up “Have you tried knitting with cotton?” No, I hadn’t, well not recently and I didn’t really give it much of a go last time… so I marched off the the yarn shop and I bough some wonderful looking orange and gold fleck cotton yarn.

Oooh the plans I had for these balls of yarn. And then I remembered.  I really don’t like knitting with cotton yarns. Not one little bit. I don’t like how it feels, how it looks, how it drapes I just don’t like it.  I thought, maybe I need to design some stuff specially with this yarn in mind.  I tried.  I just don’t like it.  Like I don’t like processed peas, or tripe… cotton yarn is in the shiver up the spine but not in a good way bucket.

So, with that in mind. if you like knitting with cotton, like and share my facebook page and you could be in with a chance of me sending you these lovely but not my cup of tea balls of yarn….
