UUGGHHHH! Feeling proper poorly today. Not only that, my soya milk has gone off and I can’t face tea with cows milk…. not today! (First world problems I know!)
There’s so much to do to get ready for the Market at Mount Edgcumbe this weekend. This is one of those days when it could be hard to find the happy spark; that is unless you own superhero pants! Other pants can also work… a friend of mine has a pair with Animal from the Muppets on for just this sort of day!
So, onwards and upwards (to the shop first though to get some soya milk). I’m decorating display heads today (among other things) and hoping the glue dries for the weekend… so far, so still tacky… dry damnit!
It’s been a bit of an uphill slog but By 10pm last night I had gathered up everything I needed for the market, well mostly. My nice coat hangers have gone walkabouts.
It’s been a while. I’m not a natural sales person but I do enjoy talking to people about knitting. It was the local Steiner May Fayre; the children learn to knit there in year one so quite a few of the children were interested in what I was doing.
It was a lovely day. I wasn’t expecting to sell much which was just as well, although I did cover my costs. That wasn’t the point of today, it was more about having a dress rehearsal/dummy run. So while it would have been nice to sell a cape or two, I got to look with fresh eyes at what I do and I’ve got some ideas as to how to improve.
So now I’m home, tired but positive. Time to take a break.
It’s a great day to make sure the gazebo still goes up, the table hasn’t rusted shut and give everything a good ole wipe down…
Also I’ve found another box of yarn, and there was me thinking I was running low. So I’ve got the ocean and pay back in super chunky… Yey!! I’ve got lots of little jobs to do, some sewing up, some sewing on of Om charms and some plain ole finding stuff that isn’t where I thought it was…..all while I bleach my roots ready for fresh colour! Speaking of which I best rinse it off before all my hair breaks off…
